Trend Micro - Swiss Tower JLT
Consult and Design
Trend Micro, a leading data security and cybersecurity solutions provider for businesses, wanted to transform the complete 33rd floor of the Swiss Tower in Jumeirah Lake Towers into a modern and contemporary workplace that reflected their brand personality and work ethic. Working closely with the client, we crafted a stylish inclusive space with distinct areas designed for work, play, and both.
Manage and build
The massive scale of the project came with its own set of challenges that our team managed with speed and accuracy. To start with, the common area near the elevator was demolished to open up the space and evoke the feeling of walking straight into the office upon reaching the floor. Additionally, the existing drainage and electrical distribution board points were shifted to new points which were tailored around the team’s needs and better utilised the space. We also ensured that the floor levels of the four different types of floors used across the office met at the same place and height to allow seamless movement from one area to another. Another key feature of the project included the open ceiling area which was accurately fitted with metal struts that, while working as an additional design feature for the lighting, sheltered the MEP work and added a modern and industrial edge to the overall décor.
The New Space
The chic new office - a combination of the brand’s ethos, natural light, and Dubai’s breathtaking skyline – is the perfect blend of natural elements and modern architecture. While the open workspace and a centralised large breakout area encourage productivity, bursts of vibrant brand colours around the office coupled with ethnic wallprints and elegant light features completely transform the space, and together create a personal yet professional ambience.
